Medieval heather type shield with a crest

This heather type shield features the coat of arms of the medieval Serbian Lazarevic family - notably Lord Lazar who spearheaded the great Kosovo battle against the Ottoman Turks at 1389, temporarily stopping their further advance into Europe, and his son Stefan, a great warrior and leader, member of the European Christian Order of the Dragon, famous for his mighty cavalry regiments, great valor in battle as well as poetry and patronage of art.

Horned helmet, shield with a Byzantine-style two-headed eagle, and a dragon with a cross on the wing are all carved into the 15mm thick birch plywood and finished with stains, paint, and oils.

This type can be done in different painting schemes and styles, and fully customized on request.

The model can be used as a decorative wall hanger or for historical reenactment, LARP, etc.
